It’s Friday, June 8, and there is a lot that is hard in this world.
So this is just a reminder that there is beauty in the world, and that you are part of it.
If you can’t find that beauty, there are folks who can help show it to you. And if you can, it is always a good time to reach out to help those who may be struggling.
A couple of resources that are good to keep close, for yourself and to share, if you are in the United States: the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-273-8255. The Crisis Text Line is also available 24/7; just send any word to 741-741 to get started.
Life can be disappointing, heartbreaking, lonely, frightening. But it can be beautiful too, vibrant beyond words, breathtaking in the ways it can unexpectedly delight us.
It is ok to lose sight of that, or to doubt it; but please reach out to someone and let them know how you’re feeling. And if you can see the beauty?
Well then: sharing that with someone can, potentially, change the world.
We are – every one of us – more important than we could ever know.
