Somewhere on my invisible to-do list is the desire to read a really great nonfiction book about ravens. The birds are amazing: regal, powerful, confident, smart. I’m lucky to see them often, yet no matter how frequently they’re part of the landscape, I have yet to find a moment when I’m not awed by them.
If you know of a book like the one I’m seeking out – albeit lazily – please leave me a comment about it! I would so appreciate the recommendation, and I’m guessing others would, too.
Hello, Anna! Just to let you know, I do read your blog and enjoy it. Let me respond to two things you recently mentioned. First, there is a very good book, “The Genius of Birds” by Jennifer Ackerman, that basically covers all birds and has a couple of pieces dedicated to Ravens. It is a NY Times best seller book, so it’s easy to recommend. (Here in Baltimore we are clearly tuned into all things Raven.)
Secondly, you mentioned that your husband got you a latte one morning. Well, I wasn’t aware that you were married — so congratulations, albeit belatedly.
It’s good to see you are writing; you always were one of the best in the Hampden Writing Group. That’s all for now.
Keep writing PLEASE!

John, what a wonderful message – thank you so much for writing it, for the sentiments, and for reading my blog! I hope you’re still writing (and traveling)!
